Min and Gar on Hudson river boat courting one another.

Gar, as he was known was a milkman and a farmer. He was very quiet and enjoyed a subtle sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing with his son Don in Sarasota, Florida. It should be noticed that 60 years of his life was lived at the 23 Ratcliffe Lane homestead in Preakness, New Jersey.

He was a life member and was very active in the Christian Reformed Church. He took his chatachism at the 2nd Christian Reformed Church which is located in Prospect Park, New Jersey.

He was known as "Gerben" by his sisters.

NOTES:
After his marriage to Minnie, they set up their home in Totowa, NJ. French Hill, Preakness, NJ was the second home for them. They then moved to a small place on Preakness Ave., NJ, then N. Haldon, NJ, then on to Lilly St., Haldon, NJ, and finally to the place where most of us remember - 23 Ratcliffe Lane, Wayne, NJ.

He spent the last days of his life in the Christian Home, Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

The Dutch spelling of his name can be Gerrit or Geert.

He was married while a member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Haldon Ave., Paterson, New Jersey. As a boy, he would spend many Sunday's in the Unity Christian Reformed Church which was 2nd Christian Reformed Church.
